With the topping-out ceremony for the new Oppenheim indoor swimming pool, another important step has been taken toward creating a forward-looking facility for the Rhein-Selz municipal association. A new building is being constructed on the site of the former Opptimare pool, combining swimming lessons, sports, recreation, and family activities with an innovative energy and water management concept. Designed by 4a Architekten, the indoor pool is conceived as a clearly organized, accessible facility offering a high quality of visitor experience. The amenities include, among other things, a 25-meter swimming pool, a teaching pool, and areas for children and families.

The energy concept is of particular importance: photovoltaic and solar thermal elements, heat pumps, energy storage systems, and hydrogen technology are designed to enable nearly energy-self-sufficient operation. The concept is complemented by efficient water management and climate-resilient outdoor facilities.
