Renovation of adventure area at the Freudenstadt panoramic swimming baths

The adventure area comprises a large relaxation pool including such attractions as water jet loungers, a water volcano, a neck jet and a flow channel. Lined around the relaxation pool are small structures – so-called grottos – which incorporate various themes: a saltwater grotto, fire grotto, ice grotto, shower grotto and a steam grotto.

The purpose of the renovation is to repair damage, to improve the acoustics and to artistically highlight the themes in the grottos. The grottos are to be given an unmistakeable character provided by the choice of materials and colours. The challenge facing the renovation is its tight budget and schedule as well as the fact that the rest of the centre is to be kept in operation while the work is being carried out.
